SUNSCREENS |
Skin cancer and wrinkles are not caused by the occasional sunburn, but by daily exposure of the skin to ultraviolet light. For this reason, one should use a sunscreen on a daily basis. The best sunscreens available are not yet made in the United States. This is because the best screening agent is Tinosorb, and it has not been approved by our FDA. Tinosorb sunscreen can be purchased in our office or on our website. Or you can go to the Cancer Council of Western Australia's website and purchase it on your own, but the shipping costs are high. Never apply sunscreen along with a moisturizer from another container as sunscreens will degrade when mixed with other agents. Rather it is best to find a sunscreen with a built-in moisturizer.
